Thesis Topic: Studies of Physical Properties in Doped Perovskite Based Ruthenates
My thesis work is on 4d based transition metal oxide material SrRuO3. This material is believed to be an itinerant type ferromagnet with metallic behavior. We trying to understand the properties of this material through doping of diffrent chemical elements at both Sr- and Ru-site.

Thesis Topic: Structural, Magnetic and Transport Properties in Spin-Orbit Coupling Dominated Pyrochlore Iridates
My research work is on Iridium based pyrochlore oxide A2Ir2O7 (A = Y, rare earth elements) which show prominent spin orbit coupling (SOC) effect and reduced electronic correlation (U). We are investigating the physical properties of Y2Ir2O7 with some selective doping at Ir-site. The purpose of substitution is to tune the SOC, U, band filling and level of frustration which will destablize the ground state and hence the physical properties of Y2Ir2O7.

Thesis Topic: Effects of Magnetic and Nonmagnetic Dopling on Physical Properties of Novel Spin-Orbit Coupled Layered Sr2IrO4
Sr2IrO4 belongs to a prototype class of magnetic insulators in the strong spin-orbit interaction (SOI) limit described by robust Jeff = 1/2 ground state. Our focus is to understand magnetic and electronic properties in this material, where we have adopted the route of tuning the both SOI and electronic correlation (U) via suitable doping.
Current Position: Post Doc. Fellow, Greyc Labs, The CNRS, France.

Thesis Topic: Magnetic Transport and Dielectric Properties in 3d-5d Based Double Pervoskite Sr2FeIrO6:Bulk, Thin Films and Heterostructures
I am interested in 3d-5d based double perovskite material (A2BB’O6). 3d-5d based double perovskites are interesting because of the interplay between large electronic correlation and spin orbital coupling (SOC) which leads exotic phases. To understand the underlying physics in these materials, we are investigating the transport and magnetic properties in bulk and thin films.

Thesis Topic: Emergent Phenomenona in Spin-Orbit Coupling Dominated SrIrO3: Bulk, Films and Interface
My interest is in 5d based TMOs in form of bulk, film and heterostructures. In particular, our focus is to investigate the transport and magnetic properties with suitable substitutions in bulk materials, as well as with varying thickness and strain in thin films. Research Topic: My research interest primarily focussed on study of bulk properties and surface properties of 3d-5d based transition metal oxides.
We study transport and magnetic, dieletric properties of bulk materials with suitable substitution. Surface properties of materials are studied by making thin film with varying thickness. By reducing the dimension effectively by one from 3D to 2D, property changes substantially.Thin film depostion is done using PLD system. Current status: De-registered from Ph.D.
