Bioprospecting: A bioinformatics approach
World Health Organization has reported that about 21000 plant species are used around the world for medicinal purposes. In India, about 2500 plant species are being used in the indigenous system of medicine. We are establishing the medicinal properties of traditional medicinal plants through in-silico and in vitro tools and techniques and developing a database as a knowledge resource.
