CRCAS Programme

The Centre offers two-year M. Phil programme and an integrated six-year M.Phil/Ph.D programme. It also admits students who have already completed M.Phil to Direct Ph.D Programme (four years). Besides these, the Centre offers specialised courses for M.A. programme in the School of International Studies.

M.Phil
Students after successfully completing the entrance test and viva voce could join the M.Phil. programme of the Centre. The course-work involves 18 credits (6 compulsory, core and optional courses) to be completed in three semesters. One more semester is allowed for writing the dissertation on a topic decided by the student in consultation with the supervisor allotted by the Centre.

    There is no pre-determined theme for PhD programme. Research scholars are free to choose research themes from any area of interest pertaining to the Centre's specialization. Students are required to complete another year of Russian language course work. M.Phil students after completing the programme could join the Ph.D programme. Students who have completed their M.Phil from other universities with first division can also apply for Direct Ph.D programme and join the same if selected.
