JRF-POSITION

Applications are invited for ONE post of a Junior Research Fellow (JRF) in a Science & Engineering Research Board (SERB), Government of India sponsored research project entitled, ‘Exploring novel pathways during egress of malaria parasite, Plasmodium falciparum using genetic tools’.

Required Qualifications:

A Post-graduate degree in any stream of Basic Sciences OR Graduate/Post Graduatedegree in Professional Course.

Candidates MUST have a valid NET and GATE OR any other similar type of National level examination. Candidates with 1-2 years of research experience in cell and molecular biology and tissue culture will be preferred.

Nature and tenure of the position: The position is purely temporary in nature and will terminate with project completion. The total duration of the position is for three years (first two years as JRF and third year as SRF).

Salary: Salary as per DST guidelines.

Important points:

  • Interview will be conducted for the short-listed candidates however, no TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
  • Photocopies of certificates/mark sheets and other testimonials will be collected at the time of interview. Original documents are required for verification at the time of interview. The selected candidate will be expected to join at the earliest.
  • Only shortlisted candidates will be communicated to appear in the interview at SLS, JNU and no other communications in this regard should be expected.

Applications were invited for post of Senior Research Fellow (SRF) in DBT Funded Project entitled: A genomewide approach to identify the sites of initiation of chromosomal DNA replication and analysis of replisome proteins in human malaria parasite Plasmodium falciparum.

The selected candidates will be appointed purely on temporary basis. Initially for one year that may be extended based on the performance.

Position:   Senior Research Fellow ( 1 )

Qualifications & Experience: M.Sc in Life sciences or related fields with first class. Candidates should have practical research experience (two years after M.Sc) in molecular/ cell biology technique and cell culture.

The Candidates with CSIR-UGC NET (JRF/LS) and having published papers will be given preference.

Salary: (As per the norms of the university and funding agency.)

Walk-in interview for JRF position

Application is invited for following temporary post in DST funded project entitled"Assessment of seasonal variations in Hydrology and Cryosphere of upper Ganga basin" at School of Environmental Sciences, Jawaharlal Nehru University.

Junior Research Fellow (One post): Postgraduate degree (with minimum of 55% marks) in Environmental Sciences or any other related field with relevant research experience.The NET/GATE qualification is mandatory for application. The candidate having experience in High Performance Computing system, handling climate data, numerical and hydrological modelling and computer skills with additional experience in climate data visualisation tools will be given preference.

Guidelines

  • The positions are completely temporary and co-terminus with the project. The fellowship scale will be as per sanction in the projects. The initial appointment will be for one year, which can be extended on the basis of assessment of the candidate’s performance and discretion of the Competent Authority for the next year.
  • The candidates are requested to come with the original mark-sheets and certificates. They are also requested to bring self-attested copies of the above-mentioned documents along with an updated CV, which has to be submitted at the interview venue.
  • Eligible candidates are requested to be present at School of Environmental Sciences, Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi at 10 AM on 14 October 2019.
  • In case based on the performance,suitable candidate is not found then lower grade with corresponding scale will be offered.
  • Note that the candidates coming for the interview will not be paid any TA/DA for attending the same.
