With more than 21 years of experience in teaching, industry & research, Shuchi Yadav is a Professor at the Centre for Media Studies, Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), New Delhi. She joined JNU as Associate Professor in 2020. Prior to this she worked as Assistant Professor & Associate Professor, Media Studies at the Galgotias University, Greater Noida. She also has a decade long experience of working as a senior journalist covering Foreign Affairs & Security Issues with top brands in media industry - such as CNN-IBN (Network18 Group), Sahara Samay (Sahara India Television Network) and Observer Group of Publications. Her audio-visual productions include news stories & documentaries on issues of national and international strategic importance. In research, her work focusses on media, culture and history, television studies (theory & practice) and conflict reporting. She has several publications with peer reviewed national and international journals of repute & has been awarded prestigious research projects including ICSSR Major Research Projects on Media and Jammu and Kashmir; Government of India Projects related to Culture, Heritage and India’s Freedom Movement.
