Dr. Sanjay Kathuria is a Senior Visiting Fellow at the Centre for Policy Research, India, Adjunct Professor, Georgetown University, and former Lead Economist, World Bank, Washington, D.C. He holds a PhD in Economics from Oxford University as an Inlaks Scholar. In 27 years at the World Bank, he worked in South Asia, Latin America and the Caribbean, and Eastern Europe, including field assignments in New Delhi and Dhaka. Before joining the World Bank, he was a Fellow at the Indian Council for Research on International Economic Relations in New Delhi. He graduated from St. Stephen’s College, Delhi and did his master’s at the Delhi School of Economics. His research interests include issues relating to economic growth and development, globalization, international trade and trade policy, regional integration, competitiveness, South Asia.
