Short Description of Seminar
The seminar will unpack the low-carbon transition underway in the global and Indian economy in terms of structural shifts, key drivers of change, and potential impacts of the macroeconomic, geopolitical and social transition.
Brief Bio of Speaker
Jon Stenning is a Director at Cambridge Econometrics, where he leads the Environment practice. He specialises in distilling complex economic and econometric analysis into policy-relevant messages. He has seventeen years of experience managing and delivering projects for a wide range of clients and presenting technical content to both technical and non-technical audiences.
He works across the globe, delivering insight into the socioeconomic implications of decarbonisation. His research focus is on improving understanding of decarbonisation pathways in different countries & sectors, and what the impacts and trade-offs are around different options. He has a particular interest in the role that public policy can play in affecting people’s choices, and therefore accelerate the rate at which we can decarbonise the global economy.
