Applications are invited from eligible candidates for the positions of Research Assistant under the ICSSR-funded Major Research Project (2025–26) awarded to the Centre for the Study of Social Systems, School of Social Sciences, titled “Cultural, Spiritual, Social, and Philosophical Significance of Vāhanas in Indian Temples: A Comprehensive Study in the Context of Hinduism.”
The positions are purely temporary in nature and may be extended based on the requirements of the project and the satisfactory performance of the candidates. The appointments are co-terminus with the duration of the project.
Position: Research Assistant (01)
Duration: 12 months (extendable)
Desirable Qualification: The applicant must possess a Post Graduate degree in a Social Science discipline with a minimum of 55% marks. Additionally, they should have cleared NET/JRF or hold an M.Phil. or Ph.D. in Social Sciences or Humanities. Proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing English is essential, along with working knowledge of Tamil or Malayalam and familiarity with Hindi. The selected candidate will receive a consolidated remuneration of ₹37,000 per month.
