<strong>CENTRE FOR MEDIA STUDIES SCHOOL OF SOCIAL SCIENCES JAWAHARLAL NEHRU UNIVERSITY</strong> a photo-presentation &amp; talk by <strong>Rahul Saharan</strong> on <strong>Photography: Art, Activism and Social Perception</strong> DATE: <strong>30th March 2016</strong> Rahul Saharan is an internationally acclaimed photographer and activist. His thematic photographic series realise the lives of the marginalised and underprivileged section of the society, which include photo-series of acid attack and rape survivors' images. Using photography as a weapon for social change, Saharan believes that his powerful frames and their connoted visual meanings will help the public to create an alternative perception against the normative, stereotypic and conditioned social perception towards aesthetic of femininity, body and landscape.
