Disability Awareness program for the students with disabilities

<strong>Disability Awareness Program-2015</strong> JNU as one of the pioneering universities of India has more than 300 students with various disabilities in its different Schools and departments. The gigantic size of the campus and student population poses big challenges to students with disabilities in terms of barrier free infrastructure, academic facilities and accessible accommodation. JNU has taken a lot of initiatives to address various issues raised by disabled student community so it is extremely necessary to impart the information of existing disabled friendly facilities and policies to the new students and also to recognize the crucial areas in the goal of barrier free university which have not been achieved so far. <strong>Equal Opportunity Office</strong> <strong>The students with disabilities of JNU </strong> organised <strong>Disability Awareness program for the students with disabilities</strong> The aim of the program is to provide a wholesome knowledge about the disability policy adopted by JNU to ensure a barrier free environment in their perusal.
