Applications are invited from eligible candidates for the positions of Research Associate and Field Investigator under the ICSSR-funded Major Research Project (2025–26) awarded to the Centre for the Study of Social Systems, School of Social Sciences, titled “Knowledge Tradition and Cultural Practices: A Study on Five Tribal Communities of Assam.”
The positions are purely temporary in nature and may be extended based on the requirements of the project and the satisfactory performance of the candidates. The appointments are co-terminus with the duration of the project.
Position: Research Associate (01)
Duration: One year (extendable)
Desirable Qualification: Ph.D. in Sociology or Anthropology along with proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing Assamese.
Remuneration: ₹47,000/- per month
Position: Field Investigator (02)
Duration: Six months (extendable)
Desirable Qualification: Postgraduate degree in any Social Science discipline with a minimum of 55% marks, along with proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing Assamese.
