Applications are invited from eligible and qualified candidates for the position of Assistant Editor for academic research, editorial, transliteration, and translation-related works associated with the literary and cultural legacy of Mahapurusha Srimanta Sankaradeva and Sri Sri Madhavadeva under the project titled: “Transliteration and Translation of the Major Literary Texts and Compositions of Mahapurusha Srimanta Sankaradeva and Sri Sri Madhavadeva (TTMLTC-SSSM)”, funded through the Srimanta Sankaradeva Chair Fund.
Essential Qualifications
1. Postgraduate degree from a recognised university with a minimum of 55% marks.
2. In-depth knowledge of Brajavali, Assamese, Sanskrit, Hindi, and English.
3. Demonstrated experience in translation and/or transliteration work.
Desirable Qualifications
1. Knowledge of the Sattriya tradition will be considered an added advantage.
2. Research publications or academic work in related fields will be preferred.
3. Sound knowledge of the Vaishnava philosophy and literary tradition of Assam.
Remuneration
Rs. 85,000 – Rs. 1,20,000 Per month.
Nature of Appointment
The appointment will be on a project basis for an initial period of One Year (12 Months), extendable annually until the completion of the project and subject to satisfactory performance.
