Applications are invited from eligible candidates for the posts of “Field Investigator” and “Research Associate” for the ICSSR Funded Research Project on Multi-disciplinary Studies on “Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Groups (PVTGs) of India (2025-26)” awarded to the Centre for Historical Studies, School of Social Sciences, entitled, “Tradition, Identity, and Cultural Sustainability: An Ethnographic Study of the Cultural Heritage, Artistic Practices, and Folk Narratives of the Toto Community in North Bengal”.
The posts are temporary and could be extended as required based on the candidate's performance. They are a co-terminus with the project.
Positions: Field Investigators (01)
Duration- Six Months (Extendable)
Qualification: Postgraduate in a social science discipline (with 55% minimum)
Remuneration: Rs. 20, 000/-per month
Positions: Research Associate (01)
Duration- One Year Extendable
Qualification: PhD in History, Anthropology or Sociology and proficiency in speaking, writing and reading Bengali language
Remuneration: Rs. 47, 000/-
