Applications are invited for filling up of the following temporary positions in an international collaborative project on Health, Opportunities and Poverty Eradication: India’s Democratic-Healthcare Paradox and Global Impact (HOPE) funded by the Norwegian Research Council at CSLG, JNU.
The positions are completely temporary and the initial appointment will be for a period of one year as per the recommendation of the selection committee, which can be extended on the basis of the assessment of the candidate’s performance and discretion of the project director.
JNU may select candidate against the post based on the qualifications and experience of the candidate and reserves the right to relax any of the qualification(s) in case the candidate is found otherwise well qualified by the Selection Committee.
If selected, the candidate’s performance will be renewed and extension will be decided accordingly.
1. Post Doctoral Fellowship: One post
Fellowship: Rs. 50000/- p.m. consolidated
Essential Qualifications: PhD in the relevant subject with a First class Master’s degree in Political Science or International Politics from a recognized university with 5 years R&D/ teaching experience in the relevant area after PhD.
The candidate must have prior experience of qualitative research in Health Policy and Systems. The candidate with experience of coordinating, conducting and planning public health projects and having good computer/ programming skills would be given preference.
2. Research Assistant: One post
Remuneration: Rs. 20,000/- p.m. consolidated
Essential Qualifications: Postgraduate degree in Political Science, International/ Global Politics, or Development Studies with two years of research experience.
The candidate must have the experience of data collection, preparing/ drafting various technical reports/ documents/ annual reports and conducting and managing workshops. Understanding of research synthesis through evidence to policy is necessary and experience of field survey research is desirable.
