Jim is the co-inventor of Foldscope and hs spent the last 5 years developing and field testing Foldscopes all over the world as a PhD student in Prakash Lab at Standford and now as President and CEO of Foldscope Instruments. His primary role is to lead our efforts to provide access to scientific tools across the globe. Foldscope is the ultra-affordable, paper microscope that you assemble yourself. Designed to be extremely portable, durable, and to give optical quality like conventional research microscope (magnification of 140X and 2-micron resolution). Foldscope brings hands-on microscopy to new places!
