Placement Rule

1. After onsite registration in JNU placement cell (JNUPC) student can see or receive the notifications/information about their placement and internships in any institution.

2. JNU students can send their CV with photograph on the email of JNUPC ( placement@mail.jnu.ac.in ).

3. Students of BA (H) can see the notifications from their first semester, but only after completing their 5th semester they are eligible to sit in any programme coordinated by JNUPC. For the student of MA/M.Sc/MCA programme of any school, she/ he will be eligible after completing their 3rd semester.

4. JNUPC will allow only registered student of JNU to sit in the programme coordinated by JNUPC.

5. If a student got selected in any of the institutions coming under JNUPC, he/she can't sit in interviews of any other institutions in that session.

6. All the information will be sent on the email of the registered students.

7. The JNUPC will take responsibility for the placement and internship of its student in reputed institution, and will intervene in case the institution changes its policy from the time of recruitment of the student.

8. JNUPC will not be responsible for absenteeism in any test, interview or any selection process which a student has to attend as part of an institution's recruiting procedure.

9. JNUPC will be responsible for the students registered under its website.

10. The students who are taking direct admission in MA in SLL&Cs can mail their CV in 1st semester and the students coming in BA 2nd year can send their CV in 3rd semester.

For M.Phil/M.Tech/PhD students

1. The policies will remain same except, interviews for M.Phil/M.Tech/PhD students can be conducted on any day suitable for the institution and the student of that stream.

2. The placement for M.Phil/M.Tech/PhD student is open throughout the year.

3. PhD students will be entertained under JNUPC for one year after completing their viva of their thesis.

General Advice

1. Student must carry a complete file with a few copies of resume uploaded on JNUPC, original certificates (if possible) and Xerox copies of certificates while appearing for interviews.

2. Student must carry their valid I-card during interviews/screening test.

3. The date/time/venue of the interview may change, at times. Student must keep themselves well informed by visiting JNUPC website.
